Fox Home Entertainment have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of The Mel Brooks Collection on 15th December 2009 priced at $139.99 SRP. Best known as a creator of broad film farces and uproarious parodies, jack-of-all-trades Mel Brooks has been entertaining audiences for years with his wacky and absurdist humour. Presenting several of his films in high definition, this set includes Blazing Saddles, High Anxiety, History Of The World Part I, Robin Hood: Men In Tights, Silent Movie, Spaceballs, To Be Or Not To Be, The Twelve Chairs and Young Frankenstein.

BIOGRAFIA DE Mel Brooks:
Melvin Kaminsky (1926-), más conocido como Mel Brooks, es un guionista, actor y director de cine estadounidense, especializado en el género de comedia.
Su entrada en el mundo del cine fue en 1968 con Los productores (The Producers), siendo el director y el guionista. Da vida a un productor de musicales estafador y a un contable tímido y nervioso que encuentran la más grande estafa jamás creada: producir un musical cuyo fracaso es asegurado de forma de hacer más dinero que con un muscial exitoso. Ganó el Óscar al mejor guión en 1969.
Mel Brooks también ha sido el productor de El hombre elefante de David Lynch (1980) y de La mosca de David Cronenberg (1986). Para producir estas películas tan ajenas a su estilo tuvo que crear la empresa Brooksfilms, debido al hecho de que el público, viendo en los carteles «Mel Brooks presenta», pensaría de inmediato en una comedia. Mel Brooks fue invitado especial en el programa de televisión llamado Loco por ti (Mad About You), programa protagonizado por Helen Hunt y Paul Reiser, pero la producción de la serie de la década de los años 60 (1965 a 1970) titulada El Superagente 86 (Get Smart), protagonizada por Don Adams, ha sido de lo más exitoso en sus logros televisivos.
The Big Bang Theory trata de dos cerebritos que comparten piso, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) y Sheldon (Jim Parsons). Aunque ambos están doctorados en física teórica y son capaces de calcular la probabilidad sobre la exitencia de universos paralelos, no tienen ni la menor idea de como relacionarse con el resto del mundo, especialmente con las chicas.
Lo más sorprendente fue la bienvenida que Penny le da a Leonard, un tremendo beso directo luego de decir sonriendo: Leonard volviste, se nota que lo extrañó mucho, que no le importó su barba y que lo quiere bastante.

Merlín es una serie de televisión británica que comenzó en 2008. En 1999, Rowling vendió los derechos cinematográficos de los cuatro primeros libros a la Warner Bros. por £1.000.000. La principal condición que puso Rowling fue que el reparto principal fuese estrictamente británico, aunque sin embargo se permitió la contratación de actores irlandeses, como el fallecido Richard Harris como Dumbledore, además de actores y actrices franceses y de Europa del este para Harry Potter y el cáliz de fuego, puesto que algunos personajes del libro son de ese origen.Luego de considerar muchos directores de la talla de Steven Spielberg, Terry Gilliam, Jonathan Demme y Alan Parker, el 28 de marzo de 2000, Chris Columbus fue confirmado por Warner, quien apuntó su trabajo previo en películas infantiles como Home Alone y Mrs. Doubtfire como el principal argumento para esta decisión. Después de un casting intensivo, el rodaje comenzó en octubre de 2000 en los estudios Leavesden y en la propia Londres, mientras que la producción finalizó en julio de 2001. El 16 de noviembre de 2001 se estrenó mundialmente La piedra filosofal. Harry Potter 1-2 Ultimate Editions (R1/US BD) in December

También las equivocaciones a la hora de rodar escenas como una muy cómica donde Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) le pisa el atuendo a Michael Gambon (Dumbledore).
CURIOSIDADES:
Columbus rechazó la oferta de dirigir Harry Potter y el prisionero de Azkaban, película en la que sólo participó como productor. Fue el director mexicano Alfonso Cuarón quien se hizo cargo de la dirección, y luego del rodaje que tuvo lugar en 2003, la película se estrenó el 4 de junio de 2004.
La primera película salió bajo el nombre de Harry Potter y la piedra del hechicero en Estados Unidos. En esta versión, dicha piedra era llamada con este nombre, mientras en el resto del mundo salió bajo el título original (Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal) y era llamada así por los personajes.
El título de la segunda película es originalmente Harry Potter y la cámara de los secretos, pero éste fue cambiado ligeramente para el libro y la película en español.
