Fight Club (1999), llamada El club de la pelea en Latinoamérica, y El club de la lucha en España, es una película basada en la novela homónima de Chuck Palahniuk.
David Fincher (Alien 3, Se7en, La Habitación del Pánico) dirigió esta adaptación de una novela de Chuck Palahniuk. Aunque polémica por su temática destructiva puesto que podría considerarse como una apología del terrorismo contra el sistema, el trío protagonista formado por Edward Norton (narrador), Brad Pitt (Tyler Durden) y Helena Bonham Carter (Marla Singer) nos sumerge en un extraño mundo en el que la línea entre la realidad y el interior de la mente de su protagonista se va difuminando cada vez más a medida que avanza el metraje.

Diferencias entre la novela y la película 

Aunque el guión es muy similar a la novela y gran parte del diálogo se utiliza extensamente, en la película se han hecho algunos cambios significativos.

• Muchas de las frases tomadas de la novelas y adaptadas a la película, son dichas por diferentes personajes. Es probable que esto sea causa de que el narrador tiene más frases en la novela que los otros personajes, aunque las frases de los otros personajes también pueden haber cambiado (por un momento, Tyler da un discurso que en la novela da un mecánico).
• El desarrollo de la historia de vida de Tyler también tiende a cambiar en la película, mientras él no es visto a menudo en la novela, su desarrollo es mencionado en retrospectiva por el narrador.
• En la película el narrador conoce a Tyler en un avión, en vez de en una playa nudista.
• El narrador lee historias acerca de Jack en la película, que se llama Joe en la novela. Cuyo nombre fue cambiado por conflictos con la revista Reader's Digest sobre el uso del nombre (los artículos leídos por el narrador fueron ofrecidos en la revista)
• La línea de Marla después de tener sexo con Tyler fue “Quiero tener un aborto tuyo” en la novela. En la película la línea fue cambiada a “No me habían follado así desde la escuela primaria”. De todos modos, la escena original fue filmada y se puede ver en las escenas borradas del DVD.
• La primera horneada de jabón entre el narrador y Tyler, se hace de la grasa tomada en una clínica de liposucción, no como en el libro, donde la grasa proviene de la madre de Marla.
• En la película, el Narrador deja a Angelface severamente golpeado porque "quería destruir algo hermoso", en el libro, esto se deriva mas por celos, ya que Angelface recibe más atención por parte de Tyler.
• En la película, el Proyecto Mayhem es exitoso en destruir los edificios de Crédito, pero en el libro esto no es claro ya que el Narrador despierta en una institución mental luego de dispararse el mismo, lo cual es otro punto de divergencia, pues Tyler Durden es suprimido inmediatamente de la mente del Narrador, cuando este se dispara en la boca.

En Blu-Ray ya debe haber salido hace meses en alguna otra parte del mundo, ya que en MKV está dando vueltas en múltiples versiones desde Diciembre de 2008.
