SUPERMAN

Es el único superhéroe que me obsesiona desde que tenía 6-7 años y ví Superman II en el Cine.
- Es de otro planeta, pero es más humano que nosotros.
- Vuela y corre rápido. Y no es un gil.
- Tiene vista de Rayos X y Rayos Láser.

Siempre le he dedicado horas y minutos a armar cosas sobre ÉL.
Pero aquí voy a tratar de ser breve, ya que material de consulta hay por todos lados.

Disc 8 includes the rest of the bonus content from the DVD set, such as ‘Look, Up in the Sky! The Amazing Story of Superman’ (HD), the three-part ‘You Will Believe: The Cinematic Saga of Superman’, ‘ The Science of Superman’ (HD), ‘The Mythology of Superman’, ‘The Heart of a Hero: A Tribute to Christopher Reeve’ and a 1958 TV pilot entitled ‘The Adventures of Superpup’. The first two features have a combined runtime of over three hours, while the third is an entirely new documentary that runs for almost an hour and examines the science-fact behind Superman’s amazing powers. It’s a great addition to an already fantastic selection of extras.
I don’t care if you’re an Earthling or Kryptonian, this is a colossal set of extras whatever planet you’re from. The old DVD content was always fantastic but having it on fewer discs is a major bonus. The addition of the deleted opening to Superman Returns and the ‘Science of Superman’ documentary only help to strengthen the release, while UK consumers also get their hands on Bryan Singer’s video journals for the first time (they were exclusive to the US version of the DVD collection).

Buenísimos el extra "Look, Up in the Sky!" en HD y el documental nuevo de 1 hora en HD. Tres horas de documentales en HD.

SONIDO (VERSIÓN DOBLADA)
La principal crítica que hacían los fans al DVD de 2001 era la presencia de un redoblaje para la película, con lo que los nostálgicos que esperaban escuchar la voz de doblaje de Clark/Superman, que tan bien se ajustaba al personaje, se sintieron decepcionados por el cambio. Hay que decir que algunas voces eran mejores que las antiguas (la de Lois por ejemplo), mientras que otras como la de Clark/Superman eran muy inferiores.
Esta carencia ha sido subsanada por Warner en esta nueva edición, puesto que el primer disco -montaje de cine- recupera el doblaje original español, en formato monoaural. Su calidad es relativamente mediocre, con una dinámica muy limitada y rozando frecuentemente la distorsión -además de no ofrecer ninguna direccionalidad-, pero por lo menos ahora sí está presente. Para los más nostálgicos, en los enlaces siguientes hay un clip de audio de una escena en su doblaje original (disco 1) y con su redoblaje (disco 2).
En el segundo disco se encuentra el nuevo doblaje (del año 2001), en un glorioso Dolby Digital 5.1, en el que la música y efectos suenan prácticamente igual que en la pista de audio en inglés. Además, las voces dobladas nuevas no desentonan demasiado del conjunto al haber sido grabadas de nuevo, si bien en ocasiones los diálogos se confunden demasiado con el resto de elementos de la pista sonora. En líneas generales, este audio ofrece una calidad similar al original en inglés, con el que comparte la misma distribución sonora (como se puede apreciar en este gráfico). Todo lo comentado sobre música, efectos y surround es aplicable a la pista doblada, que por otra parte es también idéntica a la que se ofrecía con el DVD del 2001.

SUPERMAN BLU-RAY

Si hablamos de SUPERMAN (1978), el problema es que el Blu-Ray que salió fue uno de los primeros títulos del formato y no tiene buena calidad, no trae las dos versiones de la película ni tampoco todos los extras de los DVDs. En 2013 es el 35 aniversario, esperemos que saquen algo piola.

Existen numerosas versiones de este SUPERMAN, pero muy pocas han sido editadas oficialmente ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078346/alternateversions ).
Aunque comunmente los cortes extendidos suelen representar la visión de los directores, no es infrecuente que estas no cuadren con sus propósitos artísticos y obedezcan solo a intereses comerciales.
Un claro ejemplo de esto es Superman: La Película (1978) que ostenta tres versiones. La primera de estas corresponde a la copia de cines, la cual dejó disconforme al realizador Richard Donner quien consideró como “válida” la denominada “edición especial” que alargaba en 10 minutos el metraje del filme, pero rechazó el corte para TV que superaba las tres horas y en la que los productores incorporaron material rechazado por el director debido a que resultaba redundante y sus efectos no cumplían con sus expectativas.
Sin embargo, los propietarios del filme de la época cobraban a cada cadena por cada minuto de película y al alargarse, sus ingresos aumentaban.

La del 2006 vendría a ser SUPERMAN RETURNS (2006) y tiene su Blu-Ray respectivo.

P.D.: Con respecto a Superman II, lamentablemente Richard Donner consiguió que lo dejen armar su corte de la misma.
El corte es pésimo. Bah, yo prefiero la que vi en los cines cuando era chico e incontables veces en la tele.
Y lamentablemente por ahora, la versión original de cines, la que terminó Richard Lester no existe en Blu-Ray.

Aunque pensándolo bien, al traer la remake, creo que paso.
Esperaré las ediciones individuales de la I y la II.
Tienen que sacar ediciones con ambos cortes de las 2 películas originales en Blu-Ray y todos los extras de los DVDs.
No quiero esperar 2, 3, 5 años para poder tener eso. Lo quiero antes del 2013 en lo posible, carajo, mierda !
